Home Sick

I was home sick yesterday, so I had a chance to catch up on some TV watching (in between coughing fits and using up a box of Kleenex). Mondays I record a lot of stuff, so it was good to have some time to watch some things. So here's a few quick hits from things I watched.

Smash--
I just LOVE this show. I love it all! (Except Uma Thurman, she was just messing with everything, so I'm glad she quit, and I totally guessed it was Ellis that tried to poison her, even before I saw the previews or watched this clip: http://www.eonline.com/news/watch_with_kristin/smash_first_look_nick_jonas_returns/314694)

I have always worried that Karen and Dev were going to go the route of Anne Hathaway and her boyfriend in The Devil Wears Prada, the situations just seemed so similar. And I was kind of right about that too. Of course, he didn't sleep with her frenemy. Dev, Dev, Dev. This whole "the ring is in Ivy's room" thing is going to blow up in his face--they don't put that out there for nothing. I loved everything in the church, especially because it brought Tom and Julia together. Now Michael Swift, I have nothing nice to say about that guy and I loved that Julia shoved him off. You GO GIRL! Plus, Julia and her family are so very REAL, don't you think? I love Frank and Leo (how many times have I said "love" already? I don't care, it's true!). Anjelica "singing" with her bartender--LOVE him too. This was a great episode and I can't believe it's finale time already!

90210--
Max is back!!! (That's about all I have to say about that--oh and wannabe priest guy--Caleb--knows Annie was a prostitute--that can't be good.) And I haven't watched this week's yet, so no spoilers! I read there's a car wreck in the finale. What is this, the 3rd season that's ended that way? BORING. I also saw that this got renewed. Must say I'm a little sad. I will feel compelled to see it through to the end, but I'm losing interest.

Glee--
Prom was fun, but I was maybe a little disappointed musically this episode. But Becky and Puck being the absolute cutest couple ever might have saved it. And Blaine without hair gel. He he he.

Make it or Break it--
So, I did hear right a couple weeks ago when I thought they said "series finale." They said it again last night. Which I guess is fine. It's been all about getting to the Olympics, we don't actually have to see that. Right? I feel horrible for Jordan, but again, I TOTALLY CALLED IT. I knew she'd been abused by the coach that Kaylie always said "chose her as his favorite." And now we have it confirmed. The scene with Kaylie and Jordan was really moving. Little nervous for Peyton after giving up her "V card" as Lauren says. Does she not remember what'shername? The girl that got pregnant and moved away? (Seriously, what was her name--and what happened there, she was an interesting character and they just did away with her--the actress must have wanted to/needed to leave or something. Or maybe not. ABC Family isn't necessarily known for the best writing in the world.)

Watch What Happens Live--
Since this is on five days a week, I had a bunch to watch. Not sure there's too much to say, except that Susan Lucci was amazing and fun. Otherwise it was standard fare. Funny Andy, silly games.

The Real Housewives of Orange County--
I had a couple of these saved up. Once again, VICKY. I realize Brianna's been pretty tolerant of your crazy mother antics all these years, but wise-up woman. That's probably WHY she felt she had to elope. Give the girl some credit. It's not like they just met, they've known each other two and a half years (lots longer than that weirdo you gave your email password too Vick), and she's a smart girl. It may still be for the wrong reasons (looking for some stability with a man since her dad situation is wacky), but give her some support and quit boo-hooing over not getting to throw a wedding and all that. So selfish.

Slade is headed for a reality check I think. No way is Gretchen saying yes. And everyone is telling him that. I'm not a Slade hater. No way for me to know his whole story. I think he loves and supports Gretchen. If it is self-serving more than real love--then she'll have to deal with that. But I don't hate the guy. He's fun to laugh at but I think mostly and okay dude. I love Heather and her husband. They are AWESOME. And I am surprised that so far this season, I don't want to kill Tamara. Pretty big change there. Whether she and Gretchen patching things up is for the cameras only or what, I don't know, but I fast forward a lot less this season. (That's what I do when it is just too painful, embarrasing, ridiculous to watch.)

Alexis on TV is a disaster (though she did get a little better with the coach), but that woman is crazy-cakes. I wonder how she always gets her way even though her husband never seems to want her to do these things? He must not be as much of a hard *ss as he comes off.

New Girl--
Never fails to crack me up. The episode was great, especially if you are a Nick/Jess fan, but for laughs you really just have to watch the tag before the credits. Because everyone dancing in their bedrooms is about as funny as this show gets.
